AMWA seeks a highly organized and motivated professional for its newly created full-time Marketing (and Events) Coordinator position. This is a full-time hybrid remote position in Washington, DC.


Job Summary

Assists with the marketing and execution of AMWA events, as well as support of membership marketing.  Provides administrative support to the Chief Executive Officer.

 

Essential Job Responsibilities

·       Help develop marketing campaigns for AMWA events and programs, as well as membership.

·       Write event copy, social media posts, newsletter articles, and membership correspondence.

·       Coordinate and execute webinars and other online or in-person events.

·       Assist with the coordination and execution of comprehensive task lists (pre, onsite, and post) for executive management and water policy conferences.

·       Assists in speaker management for events.

·       Coordinate the design of graphics for website and social media as needed.

·       Coordinate the publication of AMWA’s newsletters.

·       Assist with refreshing or editing website content.

·       Schedules event, membership, and committee meetings.

·       Coordinates travel for the CEO.

·       Travels to meetings as necessary.

·       Other duties as assigned.

·       Ability to interpret, analyze, organize, and apply association policies, objectives, and operations requirements.

·       Establish working relationship and interact effectively with a wide range of people.

·       Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google docs, Drop Box and in learning how to use other software work tools.

·       Familiarity with electronic communications/web sites and databases.

·       Familiarity with email marketing software/tools.

·       Familiarity with MAC environment a plus.

 

Education and Experience:

 

Education:

·       College degree or 3 years of related experience.

 

Experience:

·       Three years related experience.

 

Physical Demands:

 

·       Able to lift and carry boxes and supplies of at least 30 lbs., move quickly at meeting sites

 

Work Environment:

 

·       Standard office environment

 

Travel: up to 20%
